We stayed there in aug 2014, a great experience, awesome food, excellent service, peaceful place…amazing place.
suggested by one of my friend, if you are looking for a place where you can have peace. go for it…no doubt on service which were provided my staff….amazing.
We stayed in this resort in December 2013 for 3 nights. It was a wonderful experience to feel a life without noise and dust, in the mountain with birds. Lot of birds come in the morning in the resort itself. Sunset is clearly visible from the cottages. We stayed in cottage 1 and I would recommend that to others. There are not many activities to do but to watch birds and enjoy the nature.
The food was very good. I specially mention the name of Bhagwati Ji. His smiling face, amazing stories and delicious food made our journey more memorable.
Situated about 15 km from Nainital ,this is an ideal place for relaxation far from madding crowd.Favourite spot for bird watchers ,this is good for other tourists also.We visited when it was not a season for birds but enjoyed our stay greatly.Cottages are good and staff hospitable.Food quality very good.pradeep_kumar49, Noida
Pangot in general is a very quiet and serene place, about 25 km from Nainital. There isn’t much to do in Pangot apart from some short treks and a bird watching area called Kilbury. The weather is very pleasant and slightly cold at night.
I happened to see a few other resorts & Nest Cottages is the best of the lot. You get basic room service in terms of tea, coffee, bread-butter etc. but for the meals they have a buffet system for which you need to go to the main dining area. There is no a la carte option. Our cottage was very spacious with 2 floors, good enough for a family of 4-5 members. All basic amenities including hot water, cable tv, blankets, towels etc were available.
Pangot and The Nest Cottages specifically, is a perfect getaway hill station for people who want to run away from the busy, hectic city life and relax over the weekend.Rohand05, Mumbai
A bird’s paradise in true sense. The calmness of this place is its true charm. One can hear nothing except birds chirping, occasional chatter of monkeys and yes from distance you will hear obnoxious human beings making stupid noises unnecessarily, thankfully it did not last long and we were back to tranquil. The food was healthy and very very tasty, I wonder if the home grown vegetables made all the difference. I would love to visit Nest Cottage once again, a big thanks to the stuff for making our stay a memorable one!!PrachetaMahapatra, Gurgaon,
Spacious rooms, well appointed, big washrooms, western style, excellent service and not to forget the delicious food served hot at their dining hall. A well stocked library can keep those guests busy who are not very fond of watching the winged wonders of Pangot. Many birds visit the campus, especially early in the morning. Food is predominantly vegetarian, eggs are served at request.Nandy_soumyajit, Kolkata
A hideaway treasure is how I would describe this gorgeous rustic property. No cell Phone or Television all you get in Nature in its totality. The hotel is basic, but comfortable and clean. Food is good and was served on time. Loved the place – perfect for soul searching reflection or writing or just relaxing.
Away from the rush of nainital. Only down side was the steep approach – travel will only a skilled driver.ACannivady, Gurgaon
The Nest is a great place to stay if one is looking to relax with nature. It is a short drive from Nainital. The forests of Kilbury which come before Pangot are a nature lovers paradise with the abundant bird and animal life. There are several treks in the forests, but suggest that only those who are serious take these – they are not a ‘picnic trail’ type. You need not venture far from The Nest to see the birds for which the place is famous. The birds, like the tit, prenia and many others provide the photo opprtunity within the resort itself. The food is very good and the cook will take any special orders which you may have. In short, a great place to go if one is the nature lover type and prefers to maintain silence for the benfit of one self and others. The only negative is – as in other such places – there are several other resorts/camps coming up near The Nest and the people who come there make the maximum noise, particularly in the evenings ignoring the fact that the area is a bird sanctuary and lies on the fringes of the Corbett National Park. Hence, go when the crowds are not there and enjoy a homely stay at The Nest.Abjani, Mumbai
Excellent pet friendly hotel. Location is 15 km from Nainital and a 25 mt drive…Nature loving people will love it here. Your pets will enjoy the trip..You can bird watch, for nature walk or trekk or just relax and unwind reading a book.
Go for MAP or AP as there is no nearby restaurants..also the place has limited hotels.. Try to buy your requirements from Nainital.
The service staff were fantastic. You get made to order home food (flip side is that its only veg). your pet is allowed to be with you everywhere in the property (my pet dog Paxo had a great time).
It was awesome experience to stay there….wish to come here again & again. I’ll encourage my friends & family members to go there….Support staff were also very good & very co-operative. In total it was homely atmosphere.Chanchal C, Agra
You have to stay in these resort to experience complete bliss and relaxation. Its is pure heavenly and soulful thing. Away from crowd, you have nothing to do total relaxation of mind. Even your mobiles don’t work here. Staff is also very polite as it is family managed property. They do take care of guest as their relatives. Jungle beauty and climate will mesmerize you. Rooms are buit in cottage style and food was pureveg home cooked superb.Brazilo, Delhi
